Midwest Blackbirds Junior Hockey USPHL

The Midwest Blackbirds Junior Hockey Team is a member of the U.S. Premier Junior Hockey League. The Midwest Blackbirds play out of Midwest Training and Ice Center in Dyer, Indiana.

Junior hockey is developmental in nature. It is the highest level of amateur hockey. Participation is available to male athletes 20 and under. Unlike other sports, colleges generally do not recruit hockey players directly out of high school.  Instead, colleges prefer that young men play two years of Junior Hockey prior to entering a collegiate program. The primary objective of junior hockey is to prepare young men for career advancement in a collegiate or professional opportunity and to obtain college scholarships for them.

The USPHL

USPHL teams pride themselves in giving all players the proper mentoring, coaching, community involvement and overall player development. The Midwest Blackbirds play in the Midwest East Division of the Premier League of the USPHL:
