CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Tots - Ages 4 & 5 Beginners
Beginner instruction begins with learning to fall and getting up. Balance, edge work, and self-confidence are stressed.
Class advancement will lead into Pre-Alpha and beginning Alpha skills.

Pre-Alpha - Ages 6 & up Beginners
For beginners who have had no prior formal lessons. The basics of forward and backward skating will be emphasized.

Alpha - Advanced Beginners
This class will focus on forward stroking, right and left crossovers, and stopping.

Beta - Advanced Beginners
Basic backward maneuvers, including crossovers, stroking, and right and left T-stops will be stressed.

Gamma - Intermediate Skaters
Forward outside 3 turns, mohawk turns, and hockey stops will be learned.

Delta - Intermediate Skaters
Emphasis will be on forward inside 3 turns, lunges, tap toe jumps, and shoot the duck.

Freestyle 1-2
Edges, footwork, jumps, spins and solos will be mastered throughout the Freestyle curriculum (10 levels).

Adult Learn to Skate
Adult Learn to Skate (LTS) is designed for skaters ages 14 & up with the desire to learn the basics of ice skating. Proper skating position, inside & outside edgework and forward and backward skating will be taught.

Pre-Hockey
Pre-Hockey is designed especially for boys & girls interested in learning the basic skating skills to prepare them for cross-ice hockey and organized team play.
To be in this class, a child must be able to move across the rink on their own.
Helmet w/face mask & hockey gloves are required.

Maximum 12 students per class (most classes).
Minimum 5 students per class (all classes).
