classes at any time.


We offer a variety of classes that teach all aspects of skating.  Each level progressively introduces skills so they are mastered at your own pace.  At the end of each session, skaters are given a written evaluation of skills mastered and a recommended level for advancement. All classes follow ISI standards.


TOTS
Beginners ages 3-5 years old
Our beginner class is a 45 minute class that is for first time skaters.  Recommended ages are 3-5 years old.  Emphasis is on the proper way of falling down and getting up, balance, marching, and gliding.

 Pre Alpha
Beginners
ages 6 & older
Pre Alpha is the entry level class for aspiring skaters ages 6 and older.  Swizzles, glides, backward wiggles, and forward stride are taught.

 Alpha
Advanced Beginners
Alpha level classes focus on development of forward stride, right and left crossovers, and stopping on both feet. 
Pre-requisite:  Tots and/or Pre Alpha

Advanced Beginners
Backward skating maneuvers including cross overs, stroking, and right and left
T stops are mastered.
Pre-requisite:  Alpha

Gamma Advanced Skaters  Three turns, right and left forward inside mohawk combinations, and hockey stops are mastered at the Gamma level.
Pre-requisite:  Beta

Delta
Advanced Skaters
Delta level classes will work on right and left forward inside three turns, advanced edge work, shoot the duck, lunges, and beginning jumps.
Pre-requisite:  Gamma

 Low Freestyle
Competitive Skaters
Freestyle 1 & 2 classes focus on development of beginner jumps and spins, and advanced footwork.
Pre-requisite:  Delta

Freestyle
Freestyle level 3-5 classes emphasize development and mastery of advanced jumps, spins, and footwork.
Pre-Requisite:  Low Freestyle

Teen/Adult
Learn to Skate
The Teen/Adult learn to skate class is ideal for beginner and intermediate level skaters looking to improve their skating skills.  The basics of forward and backward skating will be taught in each class.

Make-up Policy:
Skaters are only allowed 1 make up class per month. You cannot make up classes from previous months. All classes are held on Olympic Ice Arena surface unless otherwise stated.

Dress Code:
Please dress your skater in layers that are warm, comfortable, and allow freedom of movement. Mittens or gloves are mandatory for all skaters. Helmets are suggested for skaters 5 & under. The helmet should cover the back of the head. No double-runner skates allowed. Skate rental included in cost of class.

Refund Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable. No tuition refunds will be granted once classes have begun. By registering for a class you are reserving a spot in that class therefore; you are responsible for the full tuition payment regardless of your child's actual attendance. Refund requests for personal reasons must be submitted in writing no later than ten business days prior to the start of the session. Verbal requests or requests received after this time will not be accepted.All refunds for personal reason will be assessed a $10.00 administrative fee. Refund checks will be mailed within approximately 3-4 weeks from request approval.
